For more than twenty summers (1999-2019) we gathered all sorts of musical instruments and went on a river trip somewhere in the Colorado Plateau Rivers, or the Idaho Rivers, Alaska, or the Grand Canyon. It was all the wonder of river running, desert strolling and warm riverside camping in combination with music in starlit sand amphitheaters. It was the camaraderie of a music camp and a river trip all rolled into one! We brought all sorts of instruments (dulcimers, guitars, oboes and ocarinas), our camping get ups, smiles and friends. We were accompanied by professional guides rowing our rafts, and cooking fabulous camp food. These were trips of a lifetime and Max and I continue to get old with this community of close friends and adventure lovers.

On flatwater runs, we bring canoes. When there's whitewater, we bring inflatable kayaks: On hot days, umbrella floating is popular.
